Dear Isak Dinesen,

Your kind words do more honor to me that I can ever earn. Thank you for including my story in your response to an earlier piece by John Ross.

Yes, love is eternal. It never goes away. I am inspired my your excellent metaphor, which says so much: "Love for another is never lost... We love with a torrent of merging tributaries."

Permit me to add to this thought by paraphrasing the writer Jean Rhys, who wrote 'Wide Sargasso Sea': Some loves are raging rivers, others tiny tributaries. But all flow into the lake. We must keep feeding the lake.

Thank you so much for your eloquent response to my story. You have spoken into my soul, too.
