Great advice all around. I'm bookmarking this one. An old friend who used to be a news anchor spent several years writing a book. When it was time to hit the road, she found she had to re-learn everything she once knew about media. Like using short sentences. Not over-explaining. Or backleading, as you so aptly put it. She'd spent too much time alone in "the cave" writing the book. Watching the videos helped a lot. Everything you say here is so helpful. Thanks so much for sharing this piece. And best of luck with your new book.
