Great take on this, Christine. What jumps out at me about this newest Apple product is that they're calling it a foray into "mixed reality" because you can adjust it to augment your actual environment or go fully virtual.

They've been teasing this idea ever since Apple's commercials showed iPod and Earbud wearers dancing through grimy subway stations and congested traffic "seeing" other more pleasant situations in their minds while they listen to music.

This new gadget is the perfect product for a post-truth world. Thanks for sending this up. But come on, wouldn't you give it a shot if the battery life were just a little bit better?
