Nothing to forgive. I'm grateful for your thoughtful respsonse. Have you looked into Own Race Bias or Cross-Race Effect yet? They have to do with the almost universal inability to recognize the faces of other races even after prolonged interracial exposure. But I suspect there's something in the research that reveals other deep-seated biases too. Apparently, this is all quite normal. We're all products of our conditioning. So I hope you won't guilt-trip yourself. A Black Stanford psych professor published a book in 2019 you might find helpful as you sort things out. Anyway, thanks again. Best luck to you.
