As I read your response, I thought about “A Raisin in the Sun,” the aura of the islander’s superiority buttressed by that accent was captured beautifully by Hansberry. I have a feeling you recognized the truthfulness of her characterization, given your experience. I appreciate your reading and taking the time to comment.
