Thanks for pointing this out. I remember how this affected my ability to write long-form pieces.

A few years ago, I used to write 1000-word essays for a newspaper. After a while, I realized that I'd begun to see everything around me in terms of a thousand words instead of thinking in terms of how they might feed a higher form of creativity.
