The declining faith in our politics and our institutions is a very troubling trend. You’re not alone in feeling that way.
Although Trump’s lawyers have been trying to make a big deal out of Wade’s meeting with the White House Counsel’s office in 2022, there’s nothing unseemly about that.
The New York Times has reported that it’s been well known since 2021 that the Fulton DA has sought to make use of evidence gathered by the House January 6th Committee.
Wade’s visit to the White House Counsel’s Office was to gather facts and evidence about the conduct of Trump White House officials in advance of seeking subpoenas to compel their testimony in Georgia.
One such person is former White House Counsel Pat Cipollone who has already testified before the January 6th Committee.
Fact-finding and evidence gathering of existing testimony is a normal legal procedure. But Trump’s legal team and his sycophants in the media are trying to cast this as proof of Biden’s political influence in the Georgia case.
As usual, there’s simply no evidence to support this.
