This is a very good point. During the pandemic we started watching old movies from the 30s and 40s with 7/10+ ratings on IMDB. Some have themes of infidelity and promiscuity, but nothing overtly sexual is shown onscreen. It has made me realize it’s possible to tell a good story without resorting to pornography.

I think you are right. We are going to look back on our fascination with shows like Euphoria and cringe.
