When RuPaul appeared on Late Night with Stephen Colbert a while back, he said everyone is in drag. Colbert’s drag was eyeglasses and a suit. Someone else’s might be a dress. I totally agree with you that shoes make the character. Even when I’m just doing phone work, I perform better when I swap my sweats for a shirt and tie. Thanks for the great perspective in this piece.
