Your article provides a helpful answer to questions I’ve wondered about since the tragedy occurred. What were those final moments like? Was it really painless? Despite my misgivings about the wisdom of the Titan’s expedition, I prayed for them, as did many others who watched the story unfold. Though cold comfort, as you’ve pointed out, instantaneous demise is nevertheless a mercy. Thank you for writing this.
